Ignite Rebrands, Announces Grand Opening Celebration, New Concept

Cincinnati, Ohio, Tuesday, May 10th— Ignite Entertainment is thrilled to announce an extensive company rebrand, the Grand Opening Celebration of recently launched Shires’ Cafe, and share news of their fifteenth concept in the city, making Ignite one of the largest locally owned and operated hospitality groups in Cincinnati.

As the pandemic hit the service industry with force in 2020, owner Juan Imeroni took the time to step back and look at where his company was, putting most expansion plans temporarily on hold, and he prioritized marketing, branding, and building the presence of his businesses in the community. Through a year of research and development, the rebranding of the parent company has been constructed through an in-depth dive into Ignite Entertainment. The direction of the rebrand comes from what Imeroni believes is at the heart of his businesses— the team and stories that make up the community of brands, and the people who frequent them.
The rebranded Ignite website, will be launched in the coming weeks, and the redesigned logo is already in use in marketing materials, utilizing newly established brand guidelines that bring the story of Ignite to life.

The team behind Ignite’s destinations hasn’t slowed down through the rebranding work, and most recently launched Shires’ Cafe, a brand extension of The View at Shires’ Garden, in March 2022.  This concept follows the acquisition of Delhi’s ‘Dog Haus,’ and the grand opening of ‘Ché Empanadas y Más,’ in the fall 2021.  Shires’ Cafe, located on the ground floor of the City Club Apartments, is a laid-back cafe and market with a focus on coffee, craft beer and wine, baked goods, and sandwiches and snacks, with a variety of incidentals available.
The official Grand Opening Celebration of Shires’ Cafe is planned for Saturday, May 14th, from 2 to 5pm, featuring $5 select cocktails,
$3 select draft beer, half price lattes, and samples of the cafe food offerings, welcoming guests to the beautiful new space.

The cafe combines everything that the Ignite does best, tying back to their other destinations: The View at Shires’ Garden, the tenth floor rooftop bar and restaurant above the cafe, brings the history and locally inspired cocktail and craft beer program to guests, while hometown favorites like Ché’s empanadas are available to purchase for take and bake, with plans for onsite consumption and carryout available as the offerings work to expand. The eclectic coffee program from Lola’s Coffee + Bar, just around the corner, as well as their staff, bring shared local coffee vendor, Pneuma into play, and pastries and baked goods from Ignite’s baking team who provide the desserts for all their restaurant concepts, will be stocked fresh, daily.

The concept serves the surrounding community of the business district and residents of City Club Apartments, as well as travelers, game day and event attendees, and the the general public with a variety of grab and go offerings, with the cafe and exquisitely decorated lounge area for guests to enjoy the selections at their own pace, work outside of the office, or relax and have a drink.

“We want to offer the community something we felt was missing from this part of downtown,” said Imeroni. “Not only will Shires’ Cafe serve the residents and guests of the City Club, but the office workers that are back at their desks post-pandemic, and those spending time in our buzzing urban core. We’re excited to see the city coming back to life, and thrilled to be a part of the action.”

Imeroni has put his personal touch on the interior space of the cafe, utilizing repurposed goods and decor with family artifacts, sprawling stained glass windows from a local church that was razed, as well as the notorious drop lighting over the bar, with hanging plants and greenery, artwork, and warm wood tones that round-out the otherwise modern space. Shires’ Cafe is currently open seven days a week from 7am-7pm, with plans to potentially expand hours in the future.

As one concept opens, another is in the works, as the construction and remodeling of Imeroni’s fifteenth concept begins. The Ignite team is currently working to bring back an iconic Cincinnati bar and restaurant— reviving, yet carefully preserving this Cincinnati staple while putting the “Ignite touch’” on the space.  The downtown destination will feature an expansive outdoor space, opportunities for private events, and a fun and unique lunch and pre-game menu, utilizing offerings from local butchers to create Cincy-centric gourmet sausage ‘dogs and smash-burgers. Ignite plans to open the space in the early summer of 2022, with an official announcement to be shared in the coming weeks.
