Karla Boldery: Entrepreneurial Leader and Advocate for Small Business

The Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati USA proudly features Karla C. Boldery, MBI, CBA—an entrepreneur, certified business advisor, and passionate advocate for the Hispanic business community. For more than 15 years, Karla has worked alongside entrepreneurs to help them formalize, grow, and sustain their businesses, always with a focus on creating long-term stability and empowerment for families.

Currently serving as a Certified Business Advisor (CBA) at Miami University Regionals’ Ohio SBDC, Ms. Boldery is known for her hands-on, practical approach to supporting business owners. She is also the founder of the Latina Entrepreneur Academy (LEA), a culturally relevant program that has supported more than 230 Latino and Latina entrepreneurs through education, mentorship, and community.

Ms. Boldery’s impact extends beyond advising. During her time as General Manager of La Mega Media Inc., she led initiatives that elevated Hispanic visibility and strengthened connections across the state. She ideated and successfully executed the statewide Hispanic Business Awards for four consecutive years, creating a platform to celebrate and amplify Latino entrepreneurs. She also led “Tan Latina Como Tú,” a three-year initiative focused on empowering Latina women through storytelling, connection, and community.

Today, additionally, she continues to work as Local Sales Manager for Radio One, building bridges between businesses and the Hispanic community through strategic and culturally relevant outreach.

Her commitment to community is reflected in her service as an advisory board member of the Minority Business Assistance Center at the African American Chamber, a board member of Findlay Market, and as a trustee of Cincinnati Memorial Hall—two of Cincinnati’s most iconic institutions.

Ms. Boldery’s contributions have been recognized with honors, including SBA Partner of the Year, Distinguished Hispanic Ohioan, Cincinnati Business Courier’s Forty Under 40, and the Ohio SBDC State Star Award.

Originally from Mexico, Ms. Boldery holds a degree in Business Administration from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Master of Science in Business Informatics from Northern Kentucky University. She is a mother of three and grandmother of four. Outside of her professional work, she loves to travel, is a true foodie, and is deeply passionate about women’s empowerment and creating opportunities for others to succeed.
