News from Downtown - 1.20.22
There’s a little bit of nostalgia traveling through Cincinnati this week. Before this season, the Bengals hadn’t won a playoff game since 1991. But the team—and the Queen City—are riding high as we sail into week two of the postseason. This Saturday, they’ll continue in the Divisional Round of the Playoffs against the Tennessee Titans, and while they’ll be playing in Nashville, several Downtown establishments are hosting watch parties. Moerlein Lager House will be accepting fee-free reservations; O'Malley's has wings a' plenty and an extensive beer list; and The Stretch Cincy is giving away Bengals swag for one lucky winner. It's hosting a #RuleThePlayoffs party 2.0 at 2 p.m. Kickoff is at 4:30 p.m., so join other Bengals fans at any of your favorite watering holes, from Igby's to Northern Row; Rhinehaus to Cobblestone, and everywhere in between. Find the best seat and settle in for a great postseason game.
The nostalgia continues after the game at Hard Rock Casino when Better Than Ezra and Tonic perform live at 8 p.m. Purchase tickets here to revisit some ‘90s favorites including “Desperately Wanting,” “If You Could Only See” and “Soldier’s Daughter.”
Enjoy a nostalgic weekend Downtown with sporting events, concerts and whatever else you fancy.
