Meal boxes, Blood drive & more at your Public Library

Good morning, community leaders, and I hope this message finds you well! Here is some information from the public library that may be of interest. Please feel free to share out, as you feel is appropriate. As a friendly reminder, our 41 locations are open Mon. thru Sat. from 10am to 6pm. Visit our facilities for free printing & faxing, computer/wi-fi access, to borrow materials, and more. For those who prefer, all our locations offer curbside service.
Thank you so much for the essential work you have done during this difficult year. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if the library can support your organization in any way.
 
Holiday Meal pick-up changes
During Winter Break, the Library is partnering with La Soupe Community Kitchen to distribute frozen meals for all ages, at the following locations. One meal per person, while supplies last. Parents and caregivers may collect meals for their whole family.

Tuesday, December 22

  • 1-3 p.m. Reading
  • 3-5 p.m. Avondale
  • 3-5 p.m. Price Hill Rec Center (959 Hawthorne Ave)

Meal Boxes for youth will continue on Monday December 21, however, there will be no UMC Meal Box distribution on Monday December 28.  Extra meals and snacks will be provided on December 21 to ensure needs are being met for the following week. Find up-to-date information on our meals page on our website.

 
New Mobile Apps launch Dec. 21  

In August, we launched a new and improved website.  Now, we’re excited to bring you a new and improved Library app! Beginning Dec. 21, the new apps will be available for customers on iOS and Android.   Watch the blog and social media for more details!

 Give Blood this holiday season
We’ve partnered with Hoxworth Blood Center for a blood drive at these locations: Deer Park, Loveland, Harrison, Groesbeck, Sharonville and Symmes Township.  All donors receive a $10 eGift Card!  Appointments are encouraged and masks are required for all donors. Sign-up today!
 
Reminder: Holiday Closures
The Library will be closed on these days for the holiday season:

  • Christmas: Thursday, Dec. 24 - Saturday Dec. 26
  • New Years:  Closing at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, closed on New Year's Day and Saturday, January 2
  • All locations are closed on Sundays 

Our Virtual Information Center is remaining open during regular hours (9 a.m. – 6 p.m.) Saturday, Dec. 26, and Saturday, Jan. 2.
