FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Cincinnati Boychoir’s scavenger hunt will serve as a “fundraiser and friendraiser” and can be completed at one’s own pace between June 10-20, 2021.

CINCINNATI, May 1, 2021 – Cincinnati Boychoir launches their first annual Boychoir Games Scavenger Hunt on June 10th. The outdoor experience, which runs for 10 days, will allow participants to purchase a game box and embark on an interactive scavenger hunt visiting 12 stops in downtown Cincinnati along the streetcar route, from the river to Washington Park. Participants will collect clues along the route, and then submit a final answer to the puzzle online. Successful game entries will be entered to win raffle prizes..

From Executive Director Katie MacDonald: “In a year when we have been cooped up inside, we were looking for an outdoor, covid-friendly way to connect our boys, their families and friends to both Boychoir and Cincinnati history. Even long-time Cincinnatians are likely to learn a little something new about our community if they complete all 12 stops. The Boychoir Games Scavenger Hunt is open to everyone and is designed to celebrate this city that we are proud to call home!”  ”

The goal of the event is to provide an “outdoor, fun and safe fundraiser and friendraiser” as a means to support the Boychoir’s mission. Individuals can register for $40, while families can enter together for $100 for 3 participants, Extra entries may be purchased for $20.

Registration for the event is open to all. The registration deadline to guarantee swag for the event is June 1st, although registrations will be honored up through June 20. To register, visit https://cincinnatiboychoir.org/scavenger-hunt

This event has been made possible by our generous Boychoir Games Scavenger Hunt sponsors: Fifth Third Bank, Tranquility Premium Protection, USports, and 3CDC. About the Cincinnati Boychoir
The Cincinnati Boychoir is one of the premiere boychoirs in the United States. Located in the urban arts core of Cincinnati at the Aronoff Center for the Arts, the Boychoir reaches approximately 200 young men each year from more than 90 schools in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.

Founded in 1965, the Boychoir serves every boy who enters the program with a curriculum that values not just vocal artistry, but also personal growth, community engagement and cultural appreciation.

Boys from grades 3-12 attend weekly rehearsals, and commit from 6 weeks to a full academic year. Each week, all boys come together for a combined rehearsal in which older boys are empowered as big brothers to younger boys, teaching them the nuts and bolts of music and singing, as well as how to tie their bowtie and more.

During non-covid times, the Boychoir presents approximately twenty annual performances in the greater Cincinnati region, and have performed concerts and completed residencies both at home and abroad.

The Boychoir strives to be accessible to all boys, regardless of race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic need, so they all have the opportunity to experience the life-changing impact of immersive arts participation.
