Santa Maria Community Services Expands Impact with $30,000 Grant from Greater Cincinnati Foundation for its Promoting Our Preschoolers Program

Santa Maria Community Services, Inc. has received a $30,000 grant from the Greater Cincinnati Foundation (GCF) for its Promoting Our Preschoolers (POP) program. POP is a comprehensive initiative that focuses on early child development and provides home-based services to families from low socioeconomic backgrounds with preschool-aged children. It includes regular home visits, a "parents as teachers" curriculum, resources and support for parenting, education, preschool experiences, and kindergarten readiness. The program also offers group meetings and activities for parents and caregivers, developmental screenings for children, advocacy, referrals, and promotes positive relationships with healthcare providers. The grant will allow Santa Maria Community Services to expand the reach and impact of the POP program, supporting more families in Price Hill and ensuring educational success for children in kindergarten and beyond. The collaboration with the Greater Cincinnati Foundation signifies Santa Maria's commitment to equity and creating equal educational opportunities for all children in the community.
