The weather forecast is looking good for this weekend, and we have plenty of fun options for celebrating the Fourth of July holiday. Join the party at Sawyer Point on Sunday, with food trucks and drink vendors, live music and Rozzi’s fireworks. The event runs from 2-10 p.m. and is sponsored by Cincinnati Parks.
There’s always something fun happening at Washington Park, and this weekend, you can attend a two-day party at the park to celebrate the holiday. The 4th of July Weekend Celebration will feature something fun for everyone, including activities for kids, games, a DJ, local food vendors on Saturday, and live music and a fireworks show on Sunday. The Porch, presented by PPG Paints, will also be open, offering a selection of beer, wine and seltzers, as well as Coca-Cola products. The party is happening on Saturday from 3-10 p.m. and Sunday from 6-10 p.m.
Get ready for celebrating and stop by Cappel’s for your red, white and blue decorations and accessories. If you need ingredients and supplies for your family cookout, head over to Kroger on the Rhine for groceries, and Avril Bleh Meat Market & Deli to purchase meat for the grill. For more options, visit Findlay Market and peruse the wide array of food and spices available from the market vendors.
Second Sunday on Main returns to Over-the-Rhine on July 11, and the season will kick off with a Pride-themed event. This monthly street festival happens every second Sunday of the month from noon to 5 p.m., featuring over 100 vendors, as well as over 50 local businesses from Main Street and Over-the-Rhine. Along with vendors, the event includes live music, dance performances and fun activities for kids.
Second Sunday organizers are looking for volunteers to help make each event a success. Volunteers are a huge help to vendors, assisting with setting up tents and tables, carrying merchandise to booth locations, and other tasks to help the event run smoothly. You can select a specific timeframe to volunteer for each date, and you get a free beer for each shift you serve. Interested in volunteering? Click here.
