Price Hill’s Free Creative Community Festival Celebrates the Collaborative Arts
Price Hill, Cincinnati — July 18th, 2022 — The Price Hill Creative Community Festival (PHCCF), hosted by Price Hill Will, is returning for its 7th year on Friday, July 22nd and Saturday, July 23rd from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at ARCO, 3301 Price Avenue.
PHCCF is a free, annual neighborhood celebration of music and art. Its mission – to use collaborative arts as a tool to build more creative, equitable, and connected communities – is embodied in unique Artist-in-Residence project ensembles featuring Price Hill Will’s MYCincinnati Youth Orchestra.
Venue and Marketing Director Tifani Winkfield, says, “PHCCF has grown into a summertime staple of our community, giving our MYCincinnati students a chance to perform new pieces that go beyond their academic learning in a fun, family-focused festival. The collaboration between students and artists is the heart of this event.”
In lure of this year’s collaborative performance, MYCincinnati students will compose a rhythmically energized score to accompany their original silent film highlighting sights from around Price Hill. The young musicians will also provide live musical accompaniment as guest screen the film and play classic video games.
In addition to MYCincinnati, African drummers and dancers from Ijo Ugo, Dos Corazones Productions, Brianna Kelly, the Matt McAllister Trio, and more local artists and performers will take the stage. Food trucks and fun activities for all will be scattered throughout the event.
PHCCF is made possible by American Rescue Plan funds from the City of Cincinnati, administered through ArtsWave.
