Take a break from cooking this week and enjoy some great food deals happening during Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week, celebrating a wide variety of cuisine across the Cincinnati region. Available through September 26, participating restaurants are offering dine-in and limited take-out menus, including $26, $36 and $46 three-course prix fixe menus. This year, $1 from every meal will be going directly to Cincinnati Children’s.
Participating Downtown Cincinnati restaurants include Butcher and Barrel, Che, Court Street Lobster Bar, Galla Park, Goose & Elder, LouVino, Metropole, Mita's, Moerlein Lager House, Morton's the Steak House, Nicholson’s, Pleasantry, Prime Cincinnati, Salazar, Street City Pub, Subito at Lytle Park Hotel, The Mercer, Via Vite, and The View at Shires Garden.
Tomorrow afternoon, join the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library for an event to mark the official start of a major renovation of the Main Library. Happening from 3-4 p.m. tomorrow, hear remarks from the Library’s Eva Jane Romaine Coombe Director, Paula Brehm-Heeger, and Library Board of Trustees President, Diane Redden. The event will take place outside of the library entrance on 8th & Walnut streets. Enjoy light refreshments and view the designs for the renovated first floor and the new Vine Street plaza. This major renovation will temporarily close the south building of the library for approximately 20 months, but services are still available inside the north building during this time. Check out a bright and festive event this weekend, hosted by CET Public Television and featuring local design firm Brave Berlin, one of the creators of the BLINK Festival. This event, CET is ME, will include a light show and image-mapping display produced by Brave Berlin, projected onto the “Singing Mural,” located along the CET building at 1223 Central Parkway. Along with the animated mural show, the event includes a block party featuring live music, food trucks and beverages, appearances by PBS characters, and more fun activities. The event runs on Friday and Saturday from 7-11 p.m. and is free to attend. You won’t want to miss this new, exciting event!
