University of Cincinnati Basketball Star, Rayvon Griffith, Returns to His Roots at Santa Maria's Joe Williams Family Center

University of Cincinnati basketball player Rayvon Griffith will be visiting the Joe Williams Family Center at Santa Maria Community Services on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 6 p.m. Rayvon, a former attendee of Cincinnati's Taft High School and a rising star in college basketball, will be bringing Dunkin’ treats shooting hoops with youth at the center. Having led Taft to the Division III state title as a junior, Rayvon's journey from local courts to becoming a top college prospect has captured the hearts of many in the community, especially Jessica Polzin, Santa Maria’s Youth Development Program Coordinator who worked with him in his youth. This special event exemplifies Rayvon's commitment to giving back to his community and inspiring the next generation.
