Community and jubilation are at the heart of Juneteenth celebrations across downtown this week! Saturday marks Paloozanoire’s fifth year producing Cincinnati’s Juneteenth Block Party. From 4 to 11PM at The Banks, the epic party will showcase freedom and the evolution of Black culture and include a Family Zone featuring Cincinnati Reds mascots and carnival performers, local DJs, minority-owned food trucks, and community-centric activities for all ages. Register for your free Block Party tickets today!

March into Sunday with meaning at Cincinnati’s Official Juneteenth Parade! The Roots and Rhythm-themed spectacle will highlight the diversity and vibrancy of African American culture and the powerful rhythms that unite communities. The parade will step off at 10AM at the intersection of West Court and Linn streets before journeying east to Plum Street. In conjunction with the parade, a special ceremony will honor the winners of the Fatherhood Recognition Award, which recognizes exemplary fathers in our community. Visit the Official Juneteenth Parade website to learn more about the inclusive festivities.

All are invited to join the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center on Wednesday for a Juneteenth Jubilee takeover of Freedom Way in celebration of true independence! Starting at 10AM, eventgoers can enjoy free museum admission, vibe to live music and performances, nosh on eats from minority- and woman-owned food trucks, and shop local at a Community Market featuring small businesses. The celebration will culminate in a "second line" style march down the banks to the Ohio River, the symbolic River Jordan, over which thousands of enslaved people crossed into freedom on the Underground Railroad. This event is free and open to the community!

Cap off the holiday in the stands at FC Cincinnati’s Juneteenth match against the Philadelphia Union! For every ticket sold through the special Juneteenth match link, the club will donate $5 to the Brown Hands Literacy nonprofit organization. You can add more than just tickets to your cart this week; purchase a commemorative Juneteenth scarf or patch to guarantee you show up to TQL Stadium in style on Wednesday! Kickoff is at 7:45PM
