Kick the fun off on a pungent note today during the 8th Street Garlic Festival! Yes, you read that correctly. From lunch through dinner service, several of the Queen City’s finest eateries are banding together to celebrate the aromatic veggie that has been long revered as an essential culinary ingredient. Joining the quirky extravaganza are Arnold’s Bar and Grill, Crown Republic, Rosie’s Italian, Silverglades (lunch service only), Voodoo Brew Pub, and Crown Cantina. Flavor enthusiasts can feast on garlic-infused cocktails, garlic beer, garlic desserts, and, of course, garlic-laden entrées and appetizers. Call up your friends and pack your breath mints—garlicky good times are on the menu through Saturday night!
Keep your senses alive tomorrow night, and join 21c Museum Hotel for the opening of their new exhibition, Revival: Digging Into Yesterday, Planting Tomorrow. The new exhibition presents 70 works of art by 47 artists from all over the world, illuminating how looking at the past clarifies the present and reimagines the future. Enjoy light bites and refreshments from Metropole, introductory remarks from 21c’s Chief Curator Alice Gray Stites, a special presentation by visiting artist Cosmo Whyte, and performances by Revolution Dance Theatre. The free reception is from 6 to 8PM in center of the Fountain District. All are welcome!

This original rock revue will take audiences through a story in a medieval setting that isn’t quite as it seems. The captivating performance blends hit pop and rock songs into a powerful narrative of love, strength, and finding the passion within. Some of Cincinnati's top entertainers will perform songs by KISS, Alanis Morrissette, Pat Benatar, Kelly Clarkson, Blue Oyster Cult, Def Leppard, and more. On Saturday, soccer fans are cranking up the heat across the state as the relatively new but no less fierce rivalry between Columbus Crew and our own FC Cincinnaticomes out of the fire and onto the pitch for a Hell is Real matchup! The teams faced off for the first time this season in May when the Orange & Blue pulled off a hard-fought road victory. With Columbus nipping at FCC’s heels in the Eastern Conference standings, stakes are high! Tickets are going fast for the 7:30PM game at TQL Stadium, but you don’t have to be in the stands to feel the matchday energy. Starting at 4PM, fuel up and pump up at FC Cincinnati Pre-Match at the Park presented by Prolink in Washington Park! Family-friendly pre-match highlights include live music from Jet Pack Academy, drinks at The Sherwin-Williams Porch, food trucks, fire performers, a wing-eating contest, and more.
