Downtown Cincinnati is buzzing with excitement as TQL Stadium hosts an international soccer match, with the U.S. Men’s National Team taking on Mexico tomorrow night for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier. Tickets to the match are sold out, but you can still join in on the fun with several watch parties happening throughout the day. Head over to Washington Park, which will be hosting a celebration from 4-11:30 p.m., featuring live music, games, face painting, as well as a special cocktail menu at The Porch presented by PPG Paints. The game will be projected onto the big screen on the event lawn, with plenty of room to enjoy with friends.
At The Pitch, join the tailgate party as 15th Street becomes a street festival, with beer specials from local breweries, swag, special guests, food trucks, a kids zone, and more. Northern Row Brewery & Distillery will be hosting a party in its parking lot, with a grill out and music beginning at 2 p.m.
Support the Cincinnati Fire Museum while enjoying delicious food on Saturday at the Firefighter Cookoff, where local firefighters will compete to win the title of Best Firefighter Chef. Local celebrity chef Jean-Robert de Cavel will help judge the competition and attendees will vote for their favorite dish. Proceeds will support fire safety and other educational programs at the Cincinnati Fire Museum. The cookoff begins at 7 p.m. and tickets are $75, which includes beer and wine, food, and raffle prizes. To purchase your ticket, click here.
Visit The Banks and check out the entertainment district’s newest restaurant, E+O Kitchen, which recently opened at 56 W. Freedom Way. The restaurant offers a similar menu to its other location in Hyde Park, with a focus on sushi and other Asian-inspired salads, sandwiches, and other tasty options.
