If you’re looking to kickoff the holiday season, Downtown has plenty of options to get you in the spirit. FOUND is hosting its first-ever Holiday Homecoming Concert on Saturday. The lead-in to this monthlong celebration in the urban core will start at 6 p.m. at The Banks, and will feature local musicians Arin Ray with Special Guests, The Bright Light Social Hour featuring Mia Carruthers, Speed Walton, The Heavy Hours, and more. FOUND is partnering with the Freestore Foodbank for the event, so attendees are encouraged to get into the holiday giving spirit. Findlay Market and Duke Energy Convention Center are both hosting coat drives to help those in need this winter season. Findlay Market has partnered with St. Vincent de Paul to accept gently used coats, gloves, hats and scarves. Donations can be dropped off outside Jane’s Bar on Elm Street during market hours. Anyone who donates will get $1 off a drink and 10% off any item (with the exception of gift cards) at Jane’s Bar. Duke Energy’s Fall Feast Coat Drive happens tomorrow from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., with drive-thru drop-off options available.
Braxton Cincinnati is celebrating its first anniversary this weekend. To commemorate the occasion, it will host a “Taste of Pendleton,” on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. For $20, attendees can get small bites from Boomtown Biscuits & Whiskey, Lucius Q, Nation and Pendalo Wingery to accompany their choice of Braxton brew. There will also be a new Anniversary Beer and live music all day.
