Bilingual Office Administrator

Job Summary: IRLC seeks a bilingual (English/Spanish, other languages a plus), highly organized and motivated individual for the role of Bilingual Administrative Assistant. This is a critical role in our office with room for growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform initial screenings with clients, and schedule consultations
- Prepare and send follow-up letters to clients
- Enter data into online systems
- Communicate with clients to coordinate meetings, obtain necessary documents, give case updates, etc.
- Coordinate logistics with student interns and volunteer attorneys
- Perform administrative duties such as handling incoming and outgoing mail, making copies, scanning documents, organizing and managing calendars and appointments, drafting letters to clients, making travel arrangements, etc.
- Perform office management duties including ordering and managing office supplies and equipment and interacting with vendors
- Translate documents and interpret for clients as needed
- Draft letters and documents and perform other administrative tasks for staff as needed
- Provide other program support as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English required; other languages a plus
- 1-2 years working experience as a legal/administrative assistant or similar position
- Strong office management skills
- Excellent communications skills and cultural competency
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Motivated and takes initiative
- Experience with online case and donor management systems such as LawLogix and Salesforce a plus; or ability to learn quickly and take initiative
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently and to multitask
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise● Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
- Two-year degree or equivalent certification; bachelor’s degree preferred
Salary and Benefits:
Salary range $22-24/hr depending on experience. Benefits include a health care allowance, generous paid time off, and a fabulous, fun, and supportive team!
