The Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati is seeking a full-time Office Clerk. This is an in-person position based in our downtown Cincinnati, Ohio office.
 
Legal Aid is Southwest Ohio’s largest non-profit law firm. Our mission is to reduce poverty and ensure family stability through effective legal assistance. Our attorneys represent individual clients in preventing evictions and foreclosures, addressing domestic violence and divorce, fixing unsafe and unhealthy living conditions, obtaining Medicaid and other health and income benefits, overcoming barriers to employment, or resolving school problems.

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND QUALIFICATIONS
The Office Clerk is an administrative support position that will assist with the daily operations of the office by performing tasks such as making copies, restocking supplies, processing outgoing mail, closing case files, setting up meeting rooms, and filling in for various roles, including reception and intake. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent telephone communication skills
  • Experience establishing and organizing files, documenting actions, and inputting information into case management software preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to move paper file boxes onto a cart. Must be able to bend, squat, and stand to refill copy paper in machines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook)
  • Customer, client service, or general office support experience preferred
  • Organized, accurate, attentive to detail, and positive attitude towards learning
  • A fast learner who is organized, flexible, and able to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable with a multi-task job requiring flexibility daily
 
 
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This is a non-exempt position with a starting pay of $21/hour, depending on experience. Legal Aid Society offers an attractive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, employer-funded pension contribution, 401K, generous PTO, and paid holidays.
