Xavier University, a Jesuit Catholic institution in Cincinnati, Ohio seeks a part-time (20 hours/week) Admissions Counselor for the Department of Counseling within the Office of the Graduate School. This role is essential in supporting enrollment goals through personalized student engagement and collaboration with university stakeholders.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students, guiding them through the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment.
  • Collaborate with academic leadership to develop and execute strategic recruitment plans.
  • Plan and execute recruitment events, including information sessions, campus tours, and program-specific events.
  • Manage prospective student communication using the CRM system and evaluate application materials.
  • Develop and enhance promotional materials in partnership with university marketing teams.
  • Coordinate interviews and support orientation activities for new students.
Job Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of related experience in student recruitment, admissions, customer service, sales, working with care giving professions or related fields.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibits meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and other administrative technologies.
