The School of Business and Communication at Mount St. Joseph University invites applications for a full-time (9-month) Assistant Professor of Management and Leadership position (tenure-track) to begin the 2026-2027 Academic Year.

The School of Business & Communication currently offers undergraduate programs in the areas of Accounting, Communication & New Media Studies, Financial Economics, Management & Leadership, Marketing, and Sport Management. Undergraduate business programs are accredited through ACBSP.  The School of Business & Communication also offers a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership. These programs combine theory with real-world experience to prepare students for professional success. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work collegially and effectively with faculty, students, staff, administrative colleagues, alumni, and the professional communities we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Undergraduate teaching in management and leadership and other undergraduate and/or graduate business courses as assigned by the Dean.
  • Academic and career advising of business and communication students.
  • School of Business and Communication and University service (e.g. committee service, assessment, recruiting, and promotional events).
  • Although the position is teaching focused, scholarship is part of the position’s duties.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Management and Leadership or closely related business area.  
  • Ability to teach in an additional area of business.
  • University teaching experience is highly desirable and relevant business experience is a plus.  
  • Candidates who are ABD will be considered for an instructor position.
