Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift

Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Maintain and repair all equipment including but not limited to shredder, eddy current, baler, etc.
• Change liners, grates, hammers, etc. on the shredder.
• Assist other maintenance and production personnel during scheduled repair projects and normal production.
• Operate mobile equipment as needed.
• Work in outdoor and indoor environments.
• Minor cleanup and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Ability to work 4pm - 12am Monday - Friday **some Saturdays as needed
• Flexible to work off hours and overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Welding experience preferred.
