Spanish Speaking Receptionist

The Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati seeks a full-time Spanish-Speaking Receptionist in our Downtown Cincinnati office to welcome visitors and answer calls from individuals seeking legal help. Legal Aid is a nonprofit law firm. We provide services to low-income persons in seven southwest Ohio counties. Together with our affiliate (Legal Aid Society of Southwest Ohio, LLC), we employ a staff of about 90, including 40 attorneys, 15 paralegals, and management, administrative, and support staff. We are seeking a receptionist to be a welcoming face and voice for our callers in need of help.

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES

  • Serves as a first point of contact for callers seeking help.
  • Screens incoming calls, provide information, and direct calls to the relevant department or staff member.
  • Provides clients with information, resources, and referrals based on their needs and inquiries.
  • Effectively and courteously handles a large call volume.
  • Greets and assists visitors, job applicants, and clients.
  • Contributes to reception and intake team effort.
  • Assists with administrative tasks as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 
The successful applicant will meet the following qualifications:

  • Customer or client service experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer competency and experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • A fast learner who is organized, flexible, and able to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to be an effective team player and also to work independently
  • Proficient or better in spoken Spanish 

SALARY AND BENEFITS 

The pay rate for this position starts at $18.70 per hour. Compensation includes excellent health and dental insurance, life and disability insurance, contribution to pension, generous paid time off and other benefits.
