The School of Business and Communication at Mount St. Joseph University invites applications for a full-time (9-month), tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing. The position will begin in August of 2025.  Candidates who qualify for a professional-track appointment may also be considered, as noted below.

The School of Business and Communication also offers a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership. These programs combine theory with real-world experience to prepare students for professional success.

Responsibilities

  • Undergraduate and graduate teaching in marketing, with other business courses as assigned by Dean and Department Chair.
  • Academic and career advising with business students.
  • Collaborate across the University with interdisciplinary academic program development
  • Active scholarship agenda in presenting with employers and academic/professional conferences, and developing research in your discipline.
  • School of Business and Communication and University service (e.g. committee service, assessment, events).
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications
Ph.D. in Marketing or closely related business area. Qualified ABD candidates will be considered. For professional track candidates, a Master’s degree with a marketing focus will be considered.  Teaching experience and/or professional experience in marketing is highly desirable. Background or experience in marketing analytics, digital marketing, and new business development is a plus.
