Summary
Visiting Faculty (part-time) to teach Business Computing (CSE 148) on a per-course basis during the 2025-2026 fall semester. Course assignments are made on a semester basis. Courses may be taught face-to-face or online depending on need. Ability to teach online limited to specific states.

Job Description
CSE 148 is an introduction to business-oriented computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and SQL (structured query language). Extensive hands-on use of electronic spreadsheets and database software by students. Examples and exercises will stress problem-solving in a business context.  Appointment begins August 2025.

Each semester, the department offers 25 to 30 sections of the Business Computing course that is taken primarily by students in degree programs offered by the Farmer School of Business.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field or a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field with a minimum of five years working with the relevant application(s) in a professional environment.
  • Consideration may be given to candidates with prior experience in teaching courses related to business and/or computing.
