Assistant Professor - Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health Department
Job Description
Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Kinesiology; maintain an active research agenda; pursue external funding; advise students; and be engaged in service at the departmental, college, University, and professional discipline level. This is a tenure-track position and will start in August 2025.
Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health (KNH)
Faculty in the Department of Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health provide a quality learning experience for students, supervise student research projects, serve on institutional committees, and are committed to diversity and inclusive excellence.
The College of Education, Health, and Society (EHS)

In working towards realizing the College’s vision, the Department of Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health advances the science and practice of human movement and health behaviors to enhance quality of life, improve client/patient outcomes, and reduce local and global health disparities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or closely related field by date of appointment.
- Consideration may be given to candidates with: 1) experience teaching a variety of kinesiology courses at the college level including, but not limited to, Exercise Testing and Physical Activity Assessment, Exercise Prescription, and Exercise Physiology; 2) post-doctoral experience; 3) a clinically-oriented certification (e.g., ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist); 4) experience working with multicultural and/or diverse populations; 5) experience teaching hybrid or fully online as well as face-to-face courses.
