This position is eligible for promotion but not tenure. The Assistant Clinical Professor position begins in January 2025.

The Department of Family Science and Social Work (FSW) at Miami University promotes a comprehensive understanding of the interconnected relationships between theory, research, policy, and practice (e.g., prevention, intervention) by incorporating knowledge, values, and skills from the fields of social work, human development, and family science. Founded in 1902, the College of Education, Health, and Society was Miami University’s first professional school and home to Miami University’s first graduate of color. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (e.g., MSW, MASW, MSSA); a minimum of two years of post-master’s practice experience with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and/or communities.
  • Consideration may be given to candidates with teaching experience in higher education; doctoral degree in social work or related field; five years or more of post-master’s social work practice experience; knowledge of the Canvas Learning Management System; and knowledge/training in trauma responsive assessment and intervention.
