Job Description Summary
The Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering department is looking to grow its engineering programs and is searching for a tenure-track Assistant/ Associate Professor position for the 2025-26 academic year.
Job Description
Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure track) position for its growing engineering programs, including Mechanical and Smart Manufacturing, to teach undergraduate and graduate level engineering courses; advise students; maintain an active research agenda and provide service to the department and university. The start date is August 2025.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Required: Ph.D. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or a closely related field by date of appointment (ABD's may apply, but all degree requirements must be completed by the date of appointment). Appointment to the rank of Associate Professor requires an established record of teaching and a record of research funding.
- Consideration may be given to candidates with research activities in: i) Modelling, design, and simulations (CAD/CAM/CAE, NX, etc.) of mechanical and manufacturing systems, and/or ii) Smart systems, technology (MES, data analytics, digital twin, etc.), and automation (sensors and instrumentation, controls, machine learning, networked multi-agent systems, manufacturing systems, etc.). Additional qualifications include teaching, industrial and/or post-doctoral experience or a record of grant funding and scholarly publications.
