Job Description
The Center for Career Exploration and Success seeks to hire a part-time, temporary Assistant Director of Career Advising.  The candidate’s main responsibilities include meeting one-on-one with students primarily housed in the Colleges of 1) Arts and Science and 2) Education, Health and Society.  During student appointments, the Assistant Director will provide career exploration and professional development support to help students formulate a career plan.  Providing job and internship search advice, planning for graduate school, and making referrals to resources and networking opportunities are all components of this position. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1 year of related experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree. 
  • Knowledge of career assessments such as STRONG, FOCUS2, and/or MBTI

 

Additional Position Information (if applicable)

  • Demonstrated teamwork and professionalism.  Strong written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.  Experience working with diverse stakeholders and commitment to inclusive excellence.
